If godliness is to be expressed in every area of life, then compassion and a sense of justice should provoke the Christian to act on behalf of people’s temporal needs.
Yet the church’s particular mission is to make disciples. The Christian is therefore to be especially concerned for evangelism and teaching – engaging the world without losing focus of people‘s greater eternal needs (Matthew 28:16-10).
