The things of the end

John Calvin famously noted how "meditation on the future life" was essential for our endurance in the present. When difficulty hits it gives us hope. When we feel low it gives perspective. When tempted to sin it reminds us of what it means to be citizens of heaven. Above all, when facing our own aging and mortality, it grants us joy in knowing what gets closer every day.

These are an elaboration of four talks given in 2017 that seek to clarify what it is we can expect:

What to expect until Christ returns
What to expect when Christ returns
What to expect if you die tomorrow
What to expect in the new creation
