Acclamation:
Alleluia! Christ is risen:
He is risen indeed.
Alleluia!
Praise the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ:
He has given us new life
and hope!
He has raised Jesus from
the dead!
God has claimed us as his
own:
He has brought us out of darkness!
He has brought us out of darkness!
He has made us light to
the world!
Alleluia! Christ is risen:
He is risen indeed.
Alleluia!

Creed:
Christ died for our sins
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he was buried;
he was raised to life on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures;
afterwards he appeared to his followers,
and to all the apostles:
this we have received,
and this we believe. Amen. (1 Corinthians 15:3-7)

Words
of institution:
On the same night that he was
betrayed, Jesus took bread and gave thanks; he broke it and gave it to his
disciples, saying: “Take, eat, this is my body which is given for
you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper, he took
the cup; and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying: “Drink
this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for
you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink
it, in remembrance of me. I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of
the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of
God. Amen
We pause for private prayer.
Prayer thanksgiving said
along these lines:
Almighty God, our heavenly
Father, in your word you teach that whenever we eat and drink as we do now, we
proclaim Christ’s death until he comes again. And so we thank you, we thank you
that in your tender mercy you gave your only Son Jesus Christ to take our place
- to live in perfect obedience and die in punishment for sin; and that you
raised him from the grave so that we might experience eternal life with you.
And it is in full assurance of your promises to us through him, that we confess
how we have not loved you with our whole heart, nor loved our neighbours as
ourselves. Lord forgive us. Change us by your Holy Spirit. As we share in this
bread and this wine, grant that we might also share in Christ. Cleanse and feed
our souls, and draw us together as one
body, that we may continue in faith and
so come to feast with him in his heavenly kingdom. Amen.

Closing
prayer: May God the Father, who raised
Christ from the dead as the firstfruits of his new creation, assure us who
believe of his gift of eternal life. May God the Son, who rose victorious over
sin and death and hell, rule in our hearts that we would serve him as our King.
May God the Holy Spirit, who filled the disciples with the life of their risen
Lord, fill us with Christ’s peace and empower us to share him with others. And
so may the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with us all
this Easter and forevermore. Amen.
